Projects receiving federal funds or federal permits must comply with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and take into account project effects on historic properties. Historic properties are those properties listed in or eligible for the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Kramb Consulting's proprietor, Amy Kramb, meets the requisite US Secretary of Interior guidelines and is a qualified architectural historian who can assess properties and determine whether or not the properties are eligible for the NRHP. Ms. Kramb is also qualified to assess the effects of projects on historic properties, and review proposed alterations of historic properties to evaluate whether or not the alterations meet federal rehabilitation guidelines.
Projects receiving federal funds or federal permits must comply with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Compliance with this act requires funds recipients to consider environmental factors when planning and implementing a project. The funds recipient must document the environmental impacts of the project and make the documentation available to the public. The documentation of environmental impacts is typically accomplished by completing a Categorical Exclusion (CE), an Environmental Assessment (EA), or an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). Kramb Consulting is pre-qualified by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) to complete these environmental clearance documents and public involvement requirements.
